Nike SB x Di'Orr Greenwood Blazer Mid QS Skate Shoes - Anthracite/Dark Smoke Grey
Hailing her Navajo Nation heritage, skater and cedar woodworking artist Di’Orr Greenwood and Nike SB present a unique collaborative effort entwined with culture.
Bringing with it both a Dunk and a Blazer, Di’Orr’s pack doubles up on the usual Nike methodology of a single Dunk release and affords the artist plenty of room to play, with both silhouettes arriving in their respective high-top styles.
Di’Orr’s Blazer adopts a more neutral approach than that of its cupsole counterpart, reworking the Blazer’s iconic vulcanised silhouette with a shadowy, two-tone nubuck upper. Focussing first on the foxing, regularly spaced, embossed pyramids work their way around the foot, combining the classic, crackled Blazer tape with the smooth finish of Nike SB’s GT models. Rising through the upper, the defining feature of the shoe is its bold fabric application across the laces, providing a cover inspired by traditional Navajo clothing. Heavy set, embroidered detailing breaks up the greyness, and a floral toe box emblem completes the embellishment.
